What do you think is God's heart towards YOU? What do you think is the reason why he does things for YOU? But God–so RICH IS HE in His MERCY! Because of and in order to satisfy the great and wonderful and intense love with which He loved us, (Emphasis mine) Ephesians 2:4 AMPC Ephesians 2:4 again explains and shows God's heart towards us so beautifully. It starts off by saying, "But God". Without God sending Jesus to deal with every problem that ever existed and will exist, there is no hope or answer for you, me or anyone else that will ever live. Then Ephesians 2:4 carries on with God being RICH IN MERCY. Firstly, that word rich speaks of abounding, abundant (inexhaustible) and overflowing amounts. Mercy can be defined as being treated better than you deserve and being treated kindly. Mercy is also the desire to help those who are afflicted and then it moves into action to help the afflicted. From this we can see that God's nature is overflowing and inexhaustible in mercy, kindness, and His heart's desire towards you is to help you and treat you far better than you deserve, to get you out of your problem, situation or circumstance. Be it sickness, Corona virus, fear, failure, depression, poverty, lack, needing protection, grief, loneliness. Wow, how awesome and amazing is God's heart towards every one of us in the world?! Stop and think about what you just read for a moment. The awesome truth is that this mercy that God is so full of and that's inexhaustible towards you, He has already displayed a(moved into action) and He has already given to us by Jesus Christ when He died on the cross and rose from the dead and seated us in Heavenly places with Him. You might be thinking, God does this because he wants something from me or because he has to, He feels obligated. The rest of Ephesians 2:4 shows us the reason and the heart of why God shows us His overflowing mercy and it's because of His intense love that He loves us with. Therefore, because of God's intense love for you, me and everyone that will ever live, it produces such a desire in God's heart for us to treat us far better than we deserve. That desire was satisfied when Jesus died on the cross for us and all of our sin, and God raising Jesus from the dead and seated us in Heavenly places IN Jesus Christ with Him. Think about this for a moment. IT SATISFIED GOD to treat you far better than you deserve, to be kind to you, and to show you His good pleasure IN YOU How does this truth you learned today impact your view of God? How does this change and affect my relationship with other people? How does this change and effect the way I see and the way I approach situations and circumstances in my life? Who can I share this truth with?
