I want you to ask yourself the following question and answer yourself honestly. When God looks at you what do you think He sees and what do you think, He thinks about you? Keep that answer in mind and let's look at How God sees you and think about you.
Even as [in His love] He chose us [actually picked us out for Himself as His own] in Christ before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy (consecrated and set apart for Him) and blameless in His sight, even above reproach, before Him in love.
Ephesians 1:4 AMPC
God is a God of love and relationship and because of His love for you, before the foundation of the world was made, He chose you to be His, He hand picked you out to be His. GOD CHOSE YOU AND HAND PICKED YOU TO BE HIS! Let that sink in for a moment. This means that God didn't choose you because He had no better choice or option, but because He wants YOU because HE LOVES YOU deeply and greatly and that you are His best choice! God chose you because He wants to be in close and intimate relationship with you. Ephesians 1:4 also shows us why and the purpose of God choosing you and me for relationship. Long before he laid down earth’s foundations, he had us in mind, had settled on us as the FOCUS OF HIS LOVE, to be made whole and holy by his love. (Emphasis mine)
Ephesians 1:4 MSG
According to this verse, God's reason for choosing you is that He can focus all His love upon you. Another way to put it is, you are the object of God's love and affection. God had only one intention and one intention alone in choosing you and that reason is to LOVE YOU. The verse below portrays this heart beautifully!
