Surely or only goodness, mercy, and unfailing love shall follow me all the days of my life , and through the length of my days the house of the Lord [and His presence] shall be my dwelling place. Psalm 23:6 AMPC One of the things that is necessary and important to overcome difficult circumstances and situations, is to have the right perspective. Have a perspective of The Truth (John 14:6) Truth always trumps reality, Truth is eternal, circumstances are temporary. If you believe that trouble, problems and bad things are always following you or happening to you, then that's what's going to happen, BUT those are all lies and I'll show you now why. In Ps 23:6 it shows us the truth that surely(truly) or ONLY goodness, mercy and unfailing love is following you EVERY DAY of your life. So everyday you have goodness perusing and following you and not bad things, death or distruction that is following you. Remember Jesus is your shepherd and He is there to protect you from the darkness, death and distruction. Then mercy (being treated far better than what you deserve) persues you daily. Jesus your shepherd treats you far better than you deserve, He treats you with a lot of care and great value. Then, you have love that never fails that is perusing you. The love that Jesus has for you never stops, never fails. Here is what His love looks like in action. Love bears up under anything and everything that comes, is ever ready to believe the best of every person, its hopes are fadeless under all circumstances, and it endures everything [without weakening]. 1 Corinthians 13:7 AMPC Jesus' love for you never weakens under any circumstances. When we look at what is following or perusing us, it's goodness, mercy, and unfailing love. This is the very character and nature of Jesus. He, as your shepherd wants to overwhelm you with His mercy (treating you far better than you deserve), show you goodness, and show you the love, He, and God the Father, has for you is never failing and is more than enough. The heart of God through Jesus our shepherd is that His blessings will overtake you, overwhelm you and to take hold of you, EVERY DAY OF YOUR LIFE (Deuteronomy 28:2). Have the perspective today and every day that, surely and only goodness, mercy and unfailing love which is Jesus himself is following and persuing you each and everyday of your life for the rest of your life.
