Where does grace come from? How do we receive it?

vgaunplugged

Do not be carried away by diverse and strange teachings; for it is good for the heart to be established and strengthened by grace and not by foods [rules of diet and ritualistic meals], which bring no benefit or spiritual growth to those who observe them.

Hebrews 13:9 AMP

In the previous daily encouragement we said, for your heart (thoughts, will and emotions) to be strong and immovable your heart needs to  be strong in grace, it needs to have a flow(receiving) of grace. Therefore you need to receive grace to be strengthened and immovable, but also you need to receive grace to be able to give grace.

So where does grace come from? How do we receive it? (Pause and think about it, before you continuing to read)

So you, my son, be strong [constantly strengthened] and empowered in the grace that is [to be found only] in Christ Jesus.

2 Timothy 2:1 AMP

When we look at the above verse, the only place where there is always grace and that will constantly and always strengthen  and cause your heart(thoughts, will and emotions) to be immovable, firm and be stable, is in Christ Jesus. What does it mean in Christ Jesus? (think about it). This is talking about our relationship with God, because of us believing in what Jesus has done for us on the cross, He has made us right with God forever and therefore there is nothing separating us from God and we can have an open and uninterrupted relationship with God. This shows us that God's heart towards us, is always to strengthen us, for our heart(thoughts, will and emotions) to be strong immovable, firm and to be stable no matter how good or how bad our circumstances or situations may be. So in order for us to receive grace we need to constantly go to Jesus(our relationship with God) and receive the Grace and strength he is freely offering us to overcome any situation or circumstance. (see Hebrews 4:16 and 2 Timothy 2:1). Allow Jesus today to strengthen and empower your heart (thoughts, will and emotions) to overcome any situation you are facing. If things are going good at the moment for you, I want to encourage you, to receive grace so that you can be encouragement and blessing to someone else that really needs it in this time.

Meditate on this today:

  • Your relationship with God is the best place to always be, and for your heart to be focused on because it always encourages, strengthens and makes your heart sure no matter what the circumstances.

  • Ps. If you don't have a relationship with God because you haven't accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior then please contact me personally and I would love to pray with you and help you receive Jesus. It's the best and life changing decision you will ever make.
