Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with ALL SPIRITUAL BLESSINGS in heavenly places in Christ: (Emphasis mine)
Ephesians 1:3 KJV
When Jesus died on the cross for us, He didn't just die for our sins, which is the one part, but the other part is that He also blessed us with ALL spiritual blessings in heavenly places. So if you have any need, emotional, financial, relational, physical, spiritual or health, God has already blessed you and provided for that need or situation. Think about the following questions before continuing to read.
Do you need to do anything to earn these blessings God has given you? When did God give or bless you with all these blessings?
In Ephesians 1:3 it says who hath blessed us, both hath and blessed shows that its a past tense reality that God has already provided for everything you would ever need through Jesus Christ. It also shows it's nothing to do with your performance and what you do or don't do. Look at the two following scriptures:
According as his divine power hath given unto us ALL THINGS that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: (Emphasis mine)
2 Peter 1:3 KJV
And my God will LIBERALLY SUPPLY (fill to the full) your every need according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus. (Emphasis mine)
Philippians 4:19 AMPC
Reading both these verses, is there anything that God hasn't provided or given to you that you might need? Think about that. Philippians 4:19 shows us that God liberally supplies your need, which means it's for free and it's a gift you just need to receive it. It also shows us that He supplies every need, not just some, EVERY NEED, and he makes sure there is no lack, because He fills it to the full. This shows us that God is not withholding anything from you. He gave All of this because of His LOVE FOR YOU that He demonstrated for you through Jesus dying on the cross for you. All you need to do is receive it as a gift that's already yours.
Read the verses again, and write down the one thing that stands out for you and meditate on that today.
How does the truth you learned about God impact your thoughts, decisions and actions?
