YOU have PROVISION, DIRECTION & PROTECTION

vgaunplugged

THE Lord is my Shepherd [to feed, guide, and shield me], I shall not lack. Psalm 23:1 AMPC

In Psalm 23:1, it shows us as believers we have Jesus as our personal shepherd. In order to trust and follow Jesus our shepherd we need to know His heart and character. Otherwise we won't trust and follow Him. In John 10:11 Jesus tells us that He is the good shepherd, so whatever He does or wherever He leads us will be good

What does it mean that Jesus is our shepherd? (Think about it)

In Psalm 23:1 it shows us Jesus's heart for us and His role as our shepherd. Firstly, He is there to feed - which speaks of provision. As our shepherd He is our provider and wants to provide for us. Because He is our provider we lack nothing. Secondly, He is there to guide - which shows, He gives us direction. Jesus as our shepherd gives and wants to give us direction; showing us how not to stay in our situations or circumstances but to get out of it and overcome it. Thirdly, He is there to shield - which speaks of protection. Jesus as our shepherd is our protection, wherever He leads us he also protects us.

Meditate on this today:

  • I have Jesus as my Shepherd and therefore I have provision, direction to overcome, and protection against any danger, everyday of my life.
